––– HOW IT WORKS

BUILT LIKE A SETLIST.

Each issue is structured like a great concert. A building sequence where every puzzle feeds into the next, culminating in a grand finale of rock music trivia.

For example, you might encounter the following:

01

WARMUP

Logic

Create a path through a grid, collecitng letters that form the title of a well-known song.

02

DISCOVERY

Wordplay

Use the clues to identify common phrases, then locate the band names hidden inside.

03

CLASSIC

Crossword

No typical crossword, fill in the grid, then assemble the highlighted letters to reveal an album title.

04

HEADLINER

Matching

Connect singers on the left with the backup band on the right, then notice the crossed letters in the middle reveal an album title.

05

ENCORE

The Finale

Figure out what the previous answers have in common, then use that knowledge to solve one final puzzle!

SEE WHAT'S INSIDE.

Each puzzle is original. No clip-art books or recycled formats. We build every issue around a different theme, so there's always something new to discover.

Pencil-friendly layout means you can print it out and solve old-school, or annotate your PDF digitally.

From November 2025 - Puzzle 1

The following is a set of Wordle-style puzzles, but using five-letter band and solo artist names. The technique’s the same, though: a yellow square indicates that the letter is in the answer, but in the wrong place, while a green square shows letters that are correctly placed in the answer. The dark gray squares show letters that aren‘t in the final answer. Using the letters given, can you figure out what’s missing? To give you a little help, I’ve indicated spaces using circles in the answers where any letters not found in the original guess are located.

When you're done, assemble the circled letters to find the title of a song!

"I just have to say, these puzzles are easily on par with the ones in Games Magazine and you could very well have another career making them for that publication.

As someone who's still a subscriber, I can tell you these are on the same level."
